Fulda Public School Building Project Update
This past week work continued on both the inside of the existing building, and outdoors on the new additions. The pouring of concrete for footings and foundations on the north and south additions was completed on Friday. Up next will be work on the footings for the auxiliary gym/storm shelter.
Backfilling next to the existing building allowed for the installation of wall shoring, and the removal of previously cut exterior walls. The pictures show corridor access to the future high school and to the new wood shop.
HVAC room units and duct installation continued in the Band, Choir and Ag rooms along with the roughing in of the fire sprinkler system. As required by code, we will be installing a fire sprinkler system and we need to establish a fire wall that separates our existing building from our new additions. A fire resistant material was applied to the fire wall above the ceiling line, and the installation of fire rated door frames and doors, located on this fire wall, is on the agenda.
Roofing started up again this week with plans to have the existing building roof completed by the end of next week.

Fulda Public School Building Project Update
This past week progress was made both inside the existing building and outdoors on the new additions. Concrete was cut and removed in the floors to allow for waste line installation. The photo shown will be the new HS Science Lab. The wall openings that are no longer needed began to be filled in with cement block along with block being laid around one of the new north-south HS addition corridor openings. HVAC classroom units and ductwork installation continues. Footing and foundation concrete work continues and has now moved to the west and south sides of the building.

The MSHSL sports eligibility meeting has been moved to the Elementary School Gym.

Fulda Public School Building Project Update
Digging of the footings on the north side of the building began late last week. Forms and rebar were put in place and this afternoon the concrete footings began to be poured. Excavation and soil corrections continue on the south and west sides of the building. Inside work taking place includes the cutting and removal of walls to make way for new corridors and doorways and the cutting of floors to accommodate the installation of waste lines. The installation of ductwork in the Band/Choir Room areas and former shop areas also began.

Completed Affidavits of Candidacy, together with a $2.00 filing fee, must be filed with the school district clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Fulda Public School building project update. Excavation and soil corrections have been completed on the North side of the building. Excavation and soil corrections have now begun on the South and West sides. The roofing on the East wing of the High School wrapped up on July 19th and the roofing will start up again on approx. August 3rd. Cutting of the openings for HVAC , mechanical items and room access continues in the existing shops and the Art Room areas. Lockers in the South hallway have been removed to allow for access to the new Elementary offices. The digging of the footings on the North side of the building began this afternoon.

We are one month into the Fulda Public School building project. Excavation and demolition in the existing shops and the Art Room areas, along with the start of replacing the roofing, has dominated this past month's work.
